Other Modes

Boss Challenge

A mix of Monster Hunt (Mass-Slash) and Boss Fortress modes. Players unlock and then challenge stronger and stronger bosses. The meta-game pattern is in general analogous to Mass-slash Challenge, though the experience shifts from blasting through hordes of cannon fodder to facing a single enemy of extreme power, immediately exposed not only by spectacular appearance but even size alone. Bosses may differ in combat style, which is why Boss Challenge involves more mastery than Mass-slash Challenge.

Asynchronous Co-op

Players are matched based on global rankings (and possibly within guild/friends) to form two teams, where each player is assigned a direct opponent. In each pair, both players are given challenges (e.g., async PvP arena, cross-boss challenge, etc.) that determine who wins. Players may help each other on a limited basis (e.g., 2 help tickets per rotation) and choose other players' challenges (better result counts). In order to communicate, they can also set emote icons, e.g., calling for help or claiming to be OK. After each rotation, they are given rewards based on which team wins and on personal performance.

Asynchronous Special / Challenge Dungeons

There are numerous other challenges we may think of - e.g. like "Infinity Tower" in Darkness Rises or "Wanted Challenge" in Dungeon Hunter 5, or even async MOBA-like coop. If the game proves successful, they may be added in order to boost the Endless Replay ability pillar and the game-as-a-service idea of F2P games.
